Re-Elect Warren Kitzmiller for State Representative

I am running for re-election to my seat as State Representative. I am seeking re-election because, as you know, I love the work I’m doing. The future we face together is full of challenges, and my work in the Legislature in behalf of Montpelier and the State of Vermont is compelling, fascinating, and deeply satisfying. I would like to thank you for the opportunity you have given me these last six years to work on the goals and interests we share and ask for the chance to continue to work toward better communities for all Vermonters.
For the past two years I have had the privilege of serving as Chair of the Commerce Committee. In awarding me this powerful position, House leaders demonstrated their respect for my character and judgment. They also gave me a stronger voice with which to advocate for the good of Montpelier and Vermont. I was honored by my colleagues’ trust, and am proud to say that I can expect to continue in that position—with an even stronger voice--if re-elected.
My philosophy is straightforward: to model respect for my neighbors, to insist upon fair treatment for all, to help those in need, and to use my voice, and the power of our government, as a source of aid, protection, and support for all Vermonters. Thirty-five years of public service has strengthened my faith in the possibility of cooperation, energy, integrity, intelligence, and heart to bring about positive change. If I am re-elected, these are the ideas and qualities I pledge to continue to bring to my work in the House.
I have never taken an election lightly, even when I had no competition. I hit the pavement, knocked on doors, made countless telephone calls, returned e-mail late into the night, appeared at many public events, and ate a lot of chicken. This wasn’t odious because I take seriously my responsibility to the residents of Montpelier to serve their interests and because I care deeply about our community.
You have honored me with your vote in the past, and I have regarded that trust as a covenant pledging me to do the best I can to represent the interests of Montpelier and Vermont. I hope now that you will support me with your vote so I can continue to work toward a tomorrow that is better for all of us.

If you would like to learn more about me and my positions on various issues, or if you have any concerns that you would like to discuss with me, I encourage you to contact me at my home phone, 229-0878.
